Both the commuters are going to be exported for the very first time outside the nation. Till date, Yamaha has exported the Crux model made in the Surajpur plant near Greater Noida to the African markets. Interestingly, the Indian market has stopped embracing the said model anymore. Takashi Terabayashi, Managing Director, IYM, said that there was a specific reason behind making CKD kits in Chennai as we can make use of ports within the close period of time for doing the exports. Moreover, following the same strategy, scooters have also been exported to Sri Lanka and Mexico while a number of bikes are going to be added as soon as possible to the export line-up of the company.
