Yamaha Ray 125 making its lane towards India in 2015, unwrapped in Taiwan

Indian automobile market is the only market which is booming up in the scooter segment globally. As, we all know that the number of scooters are increasing day-by-day over the Indian roads. By perceiving the Indian automobile market situation, the two-wheeler manufacturers have started offering their products globally as well.

Well, in the two-wheeler competition, Yamaha is nowhere less than any other manufacturer all over the world. Recently, the company had launched its all new Yamaha Ray 125 scooter in the Taiwan. However, according to the Japanese automaker's state of mind, it seems that the company is planning to launch the 125cc scooter is India by the coming year, 2015.

Speaking about the technical details of the Yamaha Ray 125, the scooter is featuring an air-cooled, 4-stroke 124 cc engine, which belts out around 8.5BHP of total power and 10 Nm of torque. The 124cc engine gets a Fuel-Injection system and by the side of that an O2 sensor, both of which helps improving the fuel-efficiency and performance of the scooter. The braking system has been taken care by spray dish type disc brake at the front and drum brakes at the rear. To improve the riding quality of the scooter the company has given front telescopic suspension and dual-shock suspension at the rear.

The 125cc scooter has been carrying a specific design, which will vary as per country norms. In the Taiwan model, an additional headlamp at the front has been incorporated by the company, while the Indian showcased edition not having one. The scooter will be expected to come along with the carburetor engine instead of FI in India. The scooter weighs 106kgs and in dimension terms, we will be expecting to deliver the same by the company. Moving towards the pricing section, the price of Yamaha Ray 125 is expected to stand in between Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000.
