Yamaha Saluto Officially Launched in India, details inside

The Japanese motorcycle maker has finally introduced its newly rumored commuter segment motorcycle, named as Yamaha Saluto. The newly launched motorcycle wasn't much rumored as compared to other products offered by the company. Just two days back, the firm has released a colorful teaser sketch of the Yamaha Saluto, showcasing the simple design and alloy wheels acquired by the motorcycle. The commuter segment motorcycle stands itself in between the 110cc to 125cc displaced engined motorcycles in the Yamaha product portfolio.

Being an entry-level motorcycle, it is powered by the newly developed single-cylinder motor carrying an engine displacement of 125cc. The air-cooled engine is incorporated with the firm's patent Blue Core Technology, in order to achieve a better mileage, which is 78 KMPL. The 125cc displaced engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 8.3 PS @ 7000 revs and achieves a peak torque of 10.1 Nm @ 4500 revs, while mated to a 4-speed transmission. As compared to the other products offered with the Blue Core Technology, the Yamaha Saluto is equipped with a more intensive combustion chamber.

As per the manufacturer, the Yamaha Saluto is the lightest commuter motorcycle, which weighs only 112 Kg. The reason of being the light-weight motorcycle is that it is built around a diamond frame, which is further incorporated with Telescopic front forks and swingarm at the rear. The stopping power has been taken care by drum brakes at both ends. It has carried 7.6 liters of fuel tank.

Cosmetically, the over-all black colored theme is another attractive factor in the motorcycle. The highlighted blacked out muffler also works as an eye-candy in the complete designing and style acquired. The Yamaha Saluto will be making its availability in the Indian two-wheeler industry carrying an attractive price tag of Rs 52,000 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
