2015 Yamaha R1 and R1M Reached Indian Shores

The Japanese two-wheeler juggernaut has released its recently introduced two powerful machines over the Indian ground. Last year, in 2014, the Yamaha Motors has introduced an all new 2015 Yamaha R1 and Yamaha R1M. Both the newly landed super sports motorcycles are featuring a liter-class engine, which helps to fetch out an incredible riding performance. The Yamaha R1 has a well-famed name in the racing industry. Various MotoGP awards and international racing championship awards are on its name. It has an amazing racing history along with its name.

The 2015 Yamaha R1 and R1M, both have carried similar identity, but along with a new machine. Mechanically, they are powered with a 4-pot, forward-inclined parallel-cylinders carrying an engine displacement of 998cc. The liquid-cooled, DOHC engine is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 200 BHP @ 13,500 RPM and a peak torque of 112.4 Nm @ 11,500 revs. The 998cc displaced engine is mated to a 6-speed Constant-Mesh transmission. The power has been transmitted to the rear wheel via the chain drive.

The Super sports motorcycle siblings are built around the very same Aluminum Deltabox. The Aluminum chassis is further incorporated with Telescopic front forks and swingarm at the rear. The braking duties have been taken care by Hydraulic dual-disc brake at the front and single-disc at the rear. The difference of weight between the 2015 Yamaha R1 and Yamaha R1M has been just 1kg, where the R1 stands for 199 kg and R1M weighs R1M, carrying a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters.

Cosmetically, the 2015 Yamaha R1 and R1M are featuring various new components which help to reduce the weight of the motorcycles such as slipper clutch, new crankshaft, larger airbox and Titanium con rods. The 2015 Yamaha R1 is offered in two colors; Racing Blue and Racing Red; and the 2015 Yamaha R1M will be making its availability in Sliver Blue Carbon paint scheme. The price tag carried by the 2015 Yamaha R1 is Rs 22,34,300 (Ex-Showroom Delhi) and Rs 29,43,100 (Ex-Showroom Delhi) for the 2015 Yamaha R1M.
