Yamaha: Touring Edition of MT-07 Spotted, Launch Soon

The Japanese two-wheeler maker, Yamaha, is planning to increase its products list by introducing new motorcycles. The company will continue to develop new engine and platforms to increase the choice of riders. Moreover, the Yamaha is all set to introduce a touring edition of MT-07 which has been spied during the testing in the street of Milan, Italy. It is expected that the motorcycle will make its appearance in the global market in 2016.

The MT-09 Tracer is a touring version of naked MT-09, alike, the MT-07 will also be a touring version of naked MT-07. Both the touring and naked versions of MT-07 are a smaller sibling of MT-09. The touring version is quarter-liter motorcycle spotted with a windshield, two projector headlamps, panniers and a rack with a plate for the top box. The MT-07 will be featured with a single-unit seat that will provide a comfortable sitting position to the both rider and pillion. Moreover, the nicely placed higher bars look very promising for a comfortable handling.

According to the internal source from Yamaha, ‘It's not rocket science. Yamaha has always said the MT-07 was a platform and other derivatives were coming.’ He also added that the parallel-twin configuration and 689cc capacity were chosen for their suitability to a range of applications. A Yamaha spokesman said about touring edition, MT-07 Tracer: ‘We’re not denying it, but we’re also not confirming it.’

The MT-07 Tracer will be placed under the naked MT-07, that is expected to be priced around Euro 6599 that will be higher in the comparison of its naked version.
