Yamaha Launches Updated 2019 YZF-R15 with ABS in India

The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 which is one of the most popular entry level sports bike in India has been updated with going to be a mandatory safety feature of ABS. This dual-channel ABS equipped R15 V3.0 for the calendar year 2019 has launched at INR 1.39 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the standard colours. While a newly introduced darknight colour option will make you spend a premium of INR 2000 over the standard colour options at INR 1.41 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). With the ABS introduction, the Yamaha YZF-R15 has become the country’s first motorcycle to feature a dual channel ABS unit.

Behind the fairing, the equipped powertrain on the 2019 YZF-R15 is an all-new 155cc liquid cooled engine with VVA (valve variable actuation) technology. The engine is capable of generating the maximum power of 18.7bhp and 15Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch for improved performance. The motorcycle is based on a delta box frame that is renowned for its durability and agility.

Since its launch in India, the bike is getting managed to earn good and consistent sales. The ABS introduction now priced the bike around INR 1.5 lakhs (on-road) nearest to rival the KTM 200 Duke that priced INR 1.6 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
