Click, Print, Share; An All in One Camera, Polaroid Socialmatic

The camera league has seen various shapes, sizes and feature puffed cameras in the Photokina, world of imaging. While everyone had placed their consolidation over the bigger DSLR and slimmer mirrorless, Polaroid opened the ways for an unconventionally shaped snappers with Socialmatic, which has the ability of performing multiple tasks at a time. The Instagram logo has been tuned in this camera for instant sharing and makes it stand apart the general point and shoot camera. It is blessed with the Android operating system and serves other purpose of the same as well.

The square shape body is not everyone’s choice and at the same time, it is quite bulky, big and bold at the same time. However, the square shape isn’t all the way square and has a slight elongation over one of the parallel sides, but at a rough glance it appears to be even. The 14 megapixel snapper is placed on the obverse side while the rear is mated to an unjustifiably implanted display, which finds a place at the center position from the top. At the forehead position, a small 2 megapixel snapper has also been placed for the deserving purpose of Selfies. Though, the screen resembles to a vertically held smartphone with 4.5 inches touch screen display crafted for not so high aspect resolution.

The obverse position also holds a small LCD which displays a smiley as the standby. The company calls it “Mood Assist AI”. This smiley is based on the number if photographs getting shared over the social networks. It tends to smile bigger and bolder with the increase in the photo sharing while the glaze tends to vanish out when the gadget is not in use.  

Among the greatest of the features, the camera also holds an innovatively merged printer inside this product.  This printer can be discovered by opening the device from the middle and parting it in two. The printer assembly inside can hold ZINK papers with a size of 3x2 inches. It reminiscent of the past era, when the instant photography cameras were found with the beach side photographers or people around any historic monuments. However, the camera size of that time has not seen any hard changes. People might find this product unattractive to buy and would purchase only for the amateur purpose of having a print enabled camera. One can grab this product for around €300.
