Panasonic has announced the launching of its newly built Lumix GF8 mirrorless, a new compact system camera for selfie lovers. It is the successor of it's previously launched GF7 camera in January. However, the company hasn't revealed pricing and availability, but will be announced soon.
The major changes in the camera are software related. The camera at the beauty function section is offering modes like Soft Skin, Defocusing and Slimming effects. The Beauty Retouch function lets you add finishing touches to your selfie, includes putting on make-up. The camera will be available in Brown, Pink and Orange color variants.
The Lumix GF8 is featuring a 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor, stick by the Micro Four Thirds standards. The camera also features a maximum ISO value of 25600, with full HD recording mode and burst mode of 5fps. It has the 3-inch touchscreen display with an 180-degree flip-up functionality. The camera by default goes to the selfie mode when you flip the display upwards.
For sharing the pictures quickly from your smartphones, it houses a Wi-Fi feature. For capturing the perfect selfie, the camera itself offers a variety of options. It features Aesthetic retouch, which allows you to clear blemishesh on your skin, whiten your teeth. In this, you can able to auto-engage the shutter as well with the face Shutter and Body Shutter functions, which essentially snap a picture if you wave your hand in front of the lens or if the camera detects two faces close to each other in the frame.
