Sony Introduced Lenses for Smartphone Users with High Zoom Dreams

Sony was rumored to be unveiling its lenses for Smartphones. The IFA has displayed these lenses for the next generation of photography fun with an ease of portability. The alleged devices are kept in the QX line up with the names bearing QX1 and QX30. These portable lenses simply transform a Smartphone into a power packed camera device with the ability of clicking highly detailed snaps. One can use them as per their convenience by attaching it to the phone device or by using it as a separate unit and using the phone as a viewfinder.

Both the devices are complete camera units, which require a source for user’s vision over the clicked or to be clicked images. The Sony QX1 is an ultimate choice for enthusiasts looking for a complete package of DSLR unit in compact size and indifferent style. The power of this unit can be compared to Sony’s high range mirrorless snapper, which are meant for great shots and picture perfect detailing. The QX1 is a unit with a room to attach the user friendly lenses from the varied range of the brand. The main unit boasts Sony's BIONZ X image processor and 20.1-megapixel APS-C sensor. Users now don’t have to rely over the Smartphone’s stock Flash as this E-mount unit is also equipped with a LED flash to grab superb pictures. The low light photography can also be enjoyed with this product. The f/1.8 aperture confers an excellent view for each picture.

Another newly added product in the lineup is Sony QX 30. This product is more of a “point and shoot” snapper and doesn’t possess or fits any separately attached lenses. The 20.4 mega pixel sensor lets user to stretch the view upto a zoom of 30X, which is, however not possible with any smartphone cam with same sensor range. The 24-720mm equivalent to 35mm focal length is usable for most of the bits and adds a good range of suitable angles for photographer. One could get fooled at its smartphone compatibility as the zoom lens creates illusion of a high range point and shoot snapper. The drawback of this product lies in the bad response with low light photography.

The DSLR and point and shoot cameras might be worried of their existence in the near future as the portable lenses are on its way to arrive as the next breed of snappers with dedicated camera functionality along with a compact nature.
