Alcatel Unveiled Pixi 4 (7) Tablet in India

Alcatel, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm, on Monday, introduced its Pixi 4 (7) tablet in the country. The new tablet of the company is already available exclusively via Flipkart in two variants 4G and Wi-Fi, along with a price tag of Rs 6,499 and Rs 3,999 respectively.

In term of specifications, the Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) 4G variant Android tablet packs a 7-inch HD display with a resolution of 600x1024 pixels and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK8735D processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

The optical part of the dual-SIM tablet includes an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calls. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery and will be available in Smoky Grey and Volcano Black colours. The connectivity options on the board include 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0.

Praveen Valecha, Regional Director at Alcatel India, while speaking at the launch said, “The Pixi 4 (7) series isn't just a tablet. It is an all in one package, which is made for a hassle free and seamless user experience. Continuing with Pixi 4 (6) success we want to target the millennials who enjoy watching movies while on the move. The phone provides 8.25 hours of video playback and designed to be ultra -sleek, dust and splash proof.”

Coming next to the Wi-Fi variant of the Pixi 4 (7), the tablet is blessed with a 7-inch HD display with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

In term of optics, it packs a 2-megapixel primary camera along with a 0.3-megapixel front camera. It is backed up by a 2580mAh battery and includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB 2.0 as connectivity options on board.
