Micromax, an Indian electronics company has launched a new tablet, Funbook P280. Online price of Funbook is Rs. 4,650; price itself suggests how much fun the features of Funbook will be. Looking at the price this tablet can surely compete with Datawind’s Ubislate series, popularly known as Akash in India.
Funbook P280 is mounted with Android 4.4.2 Jelly Bean version, but doesn't function properly. The tablet is embedded with Cortex dual core 1 GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. The display of 7-inch sounds to pull attention but is not efficient enough due to capacitive TFT LCD with resolution of 800x480 pixels. Tablet is not meant for photography, it just features secondary camera i.e. front camera that too of 0.3MP. Internal storage of 4GB and expandable storage of 32GB still tries to hold the interest of users. Tablet can be connected to data dongles using USB port featured along with WIFI connectivity. It doesn't support Bluetooth or GPS or 3G SIM slot. Tablet guarantees 250 hours standby time.
Being a budget tablet, the manufacturer hasn't installed some essential features to maintain pricing aspect under the range which has lead to a big minus mark over the image of the same.
