Sounds interesting! Bangalore is going to get its first public WIFI system which can be accessed by any WIFI supported device. This service is initiated on the orders of Karnataka Government. The step taken by them is a good initiative and it is secure as well. The WIFI system installed in the city is provided by D-VoiS Broadband Ltd. people residing near MG Road, Brigade Road in downtown, Shantinagar, Yeshwantpur bus terminal Indiranagar in the city's eastern locations.
As per the provider of WIFI connection to the city, "The facility is a first step to make Bangalore a smart and connected city" he added "When a mobile user is present in any of the five hotspots, he will be able to connect by configuring his device to our ION service and access internet after registering and getting the password"
This facility can be utilized with the help of a password which user receives after he applies for the registration. Regarding the speed and allowance of the internet, the company personnel said, "With a speed of up to 512 Kbps (kilo bytes per second), a user will have connectivity within the coverage area. Usage, however, will be limited to three hours a day or up to 50 MB data".
