New PlayStation Vita from Sony

Sony has revealed the all new model of its popular PlayStation Vita portable which is available at a cheaper rate in market with some of the drastic alterations like lighter in weight, more thinly in width and offers a much longer battery life compared to the first model of the Vita.

Sony says that the new PlayStation Vita is 15 percent lighter and 20 percent thinner than the original Vita. The next-gen portable platform will also have a micro-USB connector, similar to one found in smartphones and most tablets, and will come with 1GB of onboard storage. The new Vita also has an LCD screen, different from the original Vita's OLED one and its claimed by Sony that it will offer a one hour increase in battery life.

This piece is available in Blue, Black, Grey, Lime Green, Pink and Yellow color variants and has been priced at $190 (US Dollar). It's price is pointing out that the original PlayStation Vita recent price $199. It will start selling in Japan from October 10.

On the other hand, Sony has also unveiled a new costly gaming console, which it named as the PlayStation Vita TV. This console is a small box that keeps similar dimensions as that of the PlayStation Vita but it can be connected to televisions.

Vita TV console is able to play about 1,300 games which are available for the PlayStation Portable. The PlayStation Vita TV only supports 480p, 720p and 1080i resolution. This device comes with a port for HDMI output, a memory card for storage, a slot for Vita games, and Ethernet ports.

The PlayStation Vita TV will be available at a price about $100 and will be introduced in Japan on 14th November.
