After bringing a brilliantly-designed and highly-priced laptop: Aspire R 13, Acer has made a foray against leading brands like Dell, HP and Lenovo by launching an affordable device: One S1001 in Indian marketplace. To diversify the series of tablet-laptop hybrids and to provide the consumers two devices in one shell, this Taiwanese giant has dispatched its novel 2-in-1 laptop.
Here, Chief Marketing Officer of Compnay, S Rajendran has stated that their new quest is a brilliant package of productivity, portability, flexibility and vibrancy. He also added that Acer One is a stunning addition to Acer portfolio, which will surely keep pace with the lifestyle of tech-savvy consumers by making a perfect balance between work and play.
Taking about this Windows 8.1 based gadget, which is outfitted with a magnetic detachable and latch-less keyboard dock that comprises built-in 500GB HDD. Here, its flexible and unique hinge will allow the users to convert the gadget into four different modes: Notebook, Pad, Tent and Display.
The device features an elegant 10-inch Multi-Touch display, but its resolution has not been mentioned yet. On memory front, it's arrayed with 32GB of internal storage that is expandable upto 32GB via a microSD card. Here, gadget has been designed in two models: 1GB and 2GB RAM versions. Additionally, its back panel is coupled with a 2-megapixel camera as well as a selfie shooter of 0.3-megapixel has been also provided.
Powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor, handheld houses a promising 6000mAh battery. Touching the connectivity front, One S1001 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, Bluetooth v.4 options alongside 3G functionality through a dongle. As yet, 1GB RAM-equipped variant of Acer One is currently available via an E-commerce website: Amazon with a price tag of Rs. 19,999, but pricing and availability details about 2GB RAM model are yet-to-be announced.
