Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air Launched with 4G support

Xiaomi on this Friday has introduced a new variant of its Mi Notebook Air Laptop along with 4g connectivity support in China. The laptops were unveiled in collaboration with China Mobile, and does not need a separate SIM card for network support. The company also offered 4GB of 4G data every month to every user. The laptop has been appeared in two variants including a 12.5-inch variant and a 13.3-inch variant, which comes with a price tag of CNY 4,699 (Rs 46,500 approx) and CNY 6,999 (Rs 69,500 approx) respectively.

The Chinese techno manufacturing and developing firm had launched the non-4G variant of Mi Notebook Aire back in July earlier this year. The 12.5-inch variant of non-4G variant is priced at CNY 3,499 (Rs 34,000 approx), whereas the 13.3-inch variant of that model comes with a price tag of CNY 4,999 (Rs 49,500 approx). The old models can be updated to 4G connectivity support at a price rate of CNY 1,560, but still there are some additional changes in the specifications of the 13.3-inch variant.

As per as the specifications are concerned, The 12.5-inch variant of the laptop features the same full-HD resolution display as the previous model and is powered by an Intel core M3 processor paired with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The laptop comes with a 128GB SSD (SATA), which is also expandable via second SSD slot provided by the company. Connectivity options on the board include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.1, HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The battery of the laptop is claimed to provide 11.5 hours of backup by the company. It also gets AKG dual speakers, and Dolby Digital Surround sound support and weighs 1.07kg.

The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch variant, on the other hand, is blessed with a sixth-generation Intel Core i7 (2 cores, 4 threads, max clock speed of 3.0GHz) processor, which according to company will now provide a 10 percent improvement in processing over the Core i5 processor of non-4G variant. Rest of the specifications of the new laptop remains same as its predecessor, which includes a Nvidia GeForce 940 MX GPU coupled with 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB of PCIe SSD.

The 13.3-inch variant just like the 12.5-inch model also comes with a second SSD slot, which can be used to expand the memory. Other connectivity options of the variant remain same as the 12.5-inch variant. The battery of this variant can keep your device awake up to 9.5 hours and the device weighs 1.28kg.
