Samsung is now inviting for health related tech event which is scheduled to be held on May 28, 2014 in San Francisco. At this event, company will unveil its wearable device and health related apps. The event takes place afore Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference 2014 and it seems that company is trying to takes over the place of Apple's Healthbook app which is rumoured to unveil with iPhone 8 and will be scheduled to introduce in WWDC 2014. The invitation quoted with the tag "A new conversation around health is about to begin" elaborates the theme and purpose of the event.
Samsung is not disclosing any other details about the event but it is confirmed that the Korean company will make entry in the health tracking apps and wearable devices before Apple. Company had previously embedded the heart rate monitor in its Galaxy S5 smartphone and Gear Fit (For Fitness tracking).
Apple is also all set to introduce its Healthbook app along with iOS 8. This app has the ability to monitor Bloodwork, Hydration, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Sleep, Respiratory Rate, Oxygen Saturation, Nutrition and Weight which will be arranged in format of cards with an additional emergency card and it is said to be tied with Apple’s most awaited iWatch.
