An Ode to Nexus 5 on its Demise from Google Play

After 16 months of success, the Google has ousted its one of the enticing devices Nexus 5. It’s time to give a heartfelt condolence to Nexus 5 which contributed best in the tech world with its competence. On March 11, the search engine giant did the funeral of dead Nexus smartphone.

One of Google’s representative said to Techradar, "Once they are gone, they're gone, so we'd suggest people get them while they can." It’s the clear hint from the Mountain View giant that they are going to discontinue the product. Google had terminated the production in 2014, but the stock didn’t end up that time. Now, the stock finished from the Google Play Store. If you want to buy the one, you will have to contact third party retailers if they have it in stock.

LG Google Nexus 5

With premium specs, this smartphone appeared under branding of LG with very affordable price tag. Its reasonability and rich features gave this device plenty of reasons to smile remembering its year of success. It’s probably for concentrating on Nexus 6. Google even told to The Verge, "while some inventory of Nexus 5 still exists (with our retail and carrier partners), our focus is on the Nexus 6 at this time."

Earlier several reports came and suggested about the discontinuity of whole Nexus series or some suggested about the Nexus 5 discontinuity. Well, both of things didn’t come in existence and the LG’s Nexus device was still listed with the same price tag. Google Nexus 5 Discontinued from Play Store

On the other side, this device recently received the Android Lollipop update. Google Play India is though showing the non-availability for the same. But saying it a complete dead product would be judgmental for it as we said above that third party retailers still have the device to sell while the Google Play has made it discontinue.
