Android N to Arrive with Multi Window Function

While some android users are still busy in expressing excitement for the 6.0 Marshmallow version, the company has gone ahead to plan for the next update as well. The Android 7.0 version is likely to be named Android N, whereby there is no information as to what this N stands for. However, reports suggest that it could refer to Nutella, considering Android's naming strategy for each and every version of the OS. Some recent reports suggest that Android N could feature a multi-window function and we hope it's true.

Pixel C Team During Reddit AMA

During the Reddit AMA on Pixel C, Mr Andrew Bowers, Consumer Hardware Director, Google “We are working on lots of things right now for N that, of course, we wish we had, you know, yesterday. But we'd spoil the surprise of N if we shared all of them. Split screen is in the works!”

Android N is possible going to be the first OS version that will offer multi-tasking as a standard feature. It is anticipated that this OS will be rolled out in the latest Nexus device, whichever will mark its entry around the Halloween, and later it will be fed to the older devices. Other major players in the market like Apple and Microsoft had already been offering a mutli-task function on their respective devices and hence such a move by Google is pretty logical.
