Apple Addresses Its Bend Gate Issue in Public

As soon as the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were up for sale, the public went gaga over it and over 10 million handsets were sold out in the very first week. However, at first the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were the eye candy of all the people, but soon enough the customers recognized a deformation in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus near the volume buttons. The buyers gave this deformation a name, that is bend gate and it's continue to happen to the users still. The reason of this deformation was the pressure on the back side of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus near the volumes and power button.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus Bend Gate

After so many people reported this bend gate even when iPhone was in their pocket, though for around 15-17 hours, but still bending is out of the question. Now, Apple has finally come forward with a statement over this bend gate phenomenon and here how it goes.

''Our iPhones are designed, engineered and manufactured to be both beautiful and sturdy. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus features a precision engineered unibody enclosure constructed from machining a custom grade of 6000 series anodized aluminum, which is tempered for extra strength. They also feature stainless steel and titanium inserts to reinforce high stress locations and use the strongest glass in the smartphone industry. We chose these high-quality materials and construction very carefully for their strength and durability. We also perform rigorous test throughout the entire development cycle including 3-point bending, pressure point cycling, sit, torsion, and user studies. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus meet or exceed all of our high quality standards to endure everyday, real life use.

With normal use a bend in iPhone is extremely rare and through our first six days of sale, a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6 Plus. As with any Apple product, if you have questions please contact Apple.''
