Apple iPhone 8 Design Confirmed: Report

Amongst the ongoing iPhone 8 leaks, the latest one shows the new design of the most anticipated smartphone of this year. If rumors are to be believed, the new iPhone will be the biggest one in the iPhone series so far. iPhone 8 is likely to be launched in September 2017 but Apple has not yet confirmed any official date for the launch and availability of its new iPhone device. The latest iPhone8 leaks confirm a 5.8-inch big screen, wireless charging, 3D cameras and many other unique features.

The new iPhone 8 is likely to be released without the heavy bezels of the previous phones in this series. iPhone 8 will feature a 5.8-inch OLED display with a notch at the top for front camera and sensors. The phone will be equipped with the latest iOS 11 operating system. In other design features, iPhone 8 is likely to have a vertical dual camera on the back unlike the horizontal dual rear camera of the iPhone 7 Plus. This change is to support the Augmented Reality (AR) feature that Apple will be implementing for the first time with the iPhone 8.

The iPhone 8 is also confirmed to have the Lightning port for data transfer and charging. There won’t be a USB Type-C port or a headphone jack in the new iPhone. Another major design change is with the home button (given on one side of the phone), which seems to be almost double in size than the previous iPhones. The large home button also hints towards the possibility of the integration of Touch ID into the power button. In other features, iPhone 8 is likely to have a 3D face recognition feature, a better screen to body ratio, TrueTone OLED display, an iris scanner, and a smart accessory connector.

Although Gordon Kelly of Forbes Magazine, the person behind this leak, claims to have sufficient evidence to prove this new design, the actual iPhone 8 design and specifications will only be revealed with the release of the phone.
