Apple iPhone Purchased in US will Now get Warranty Support In India

Apple’s tweaked warranty terms would be applicable for any unlocked iPhone. You can buy a new iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or even the upcoming iPhone X from countries like the abroad, and have their one-year warranties honored in India. According to a person familiar with the matter, users could buy their iPhone from another country, and it will be serviced in India, if under warranty.

If the reports are true, Apple has made this move when its flagship device, the iPhone X is nearing launch. The iPhone X, which is the company\'s most expensive iPhone yet, has a starting price of Rs 89,000 for the 64GB model and going up to 1,02,000 for the 256GB model. In the US, the iPhone X is priced at $999, which translates to roughly Rs 64,700.

The iPhone X will be launched in India priced at Rs 89,000 for the 64GB model and at Rs 1.02 lakhs for the 256GB variant. If you are considering buying the smartphone, it is worth noting that the iPhone X is priced starting at $999 (Rs 65,000 approx directly converted) in the US for the 64GB variant. In fact, the phone is the cheapest in Hong Kong where the 256GB is priced at Hong Kong Dollar 9,888, which translates to Rs 80,999.

Apple iPhone X sports 5.8 inch display with the resolution of 1125 * 2436 pixels. It features a facial recognition technology that the company calls Face ID, alongside wireless charging with dual optical stabilization as some of its most notable highlights. It is powered by the company\'s own A11 Bionic chip and will ship with iOS 11.
