Xiaomi Launches selfie-centric Redmi Y1 Smartphone in India on 2nd Nov

Xiaomi unveils “a new series” i.e. Redmi Y1 smartphone series which is a selfie-centric smartphone with front flash on 2nd November, in New Delhi, India. The new smartphone release in a price category that it has not tapped so far. The Chinese company revealed the Mi A1 and Mi Mix 2 in the last two months, and now teasing a new smartphone under an ‘All New Smartphone Series’, like the Mi A1, which brought Google's Android One back to the mainstream. The Xiaomi also launching MIUI 9 in the same event to all the MI smartphones in India. Also the company has launched its much anticipated MIUI 9 with a dozen of extra features like split screen and new notification panel. 

Xiaomi’s products currently covers a wide range of price categories with its Redmi and Mi-Series handset. Where the Redmi 4A is the company's cheapest Android smartphone offering in the country while the recently revealed Mi MIX 2 is the most expensive one in the entire portfolio. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, the bezel-less display smartphone, was launched in the country earlier this month and comes with a price of Rs. 35,999.

Going by the official invite the Mi Note 3 smartphone, to recap , is a high-end phone with fairly good hardware. Apart from clicking selfies, its front camera can also be used for face ID feature, letting users unlock the phone just by looking at it. The Mi Note 3 sports 5.5-inch FullHD display and 6GB RAM. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.

The Mi Note 3 borrows the dual rear camera setup found on company's flagship Mi 6 smartphone. It features dual 12MP rear cameras with one wide-angle lens. It also features a 16MP selfie camera with larger 2-micron pixel size and support for new beauty 4.0 mode. The biggest highlights for Mi Note 3 is its 'Adaptable AI Beautify' feature, which uses AI-based algorithm to beauty selfies. The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is backed with 3500mAh battery. It also features 'Fast Charge 3.0 dual parallel' fast charging technology, as per Google Translate.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 price in China for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 24,500), for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant in Black CNY 2,899 (approximately Rs. 28,300) and for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant in Blue and CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 29,400).

The company also unveiled the Redmi 5A smartphone in China earlier this month which is the successor to the Redmi 4A. In August, it had launched the Redmi Note 5A in China, with a 16-megapixel front camera revealing its focus on selfies. The company may launch these smartphones at its November 2 launch as well.
