Asus Unveils Android 7.0 Nougat Update For ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) and (ZE552KL)

Asus reportedly has started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its ZenFone 3 users. The updates are initially being delivered to the ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) and ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) users specifically in the Philippines. The ZenFone 3 users in the Philippines have reported that they are receiving Android 7.0 updates in their devices via OTA.

The new OS update by the company brings many new features along with it, which includes Multi-Window support, improved Doze battery saving feature and much more. The company also has made some unique customisations in its ZenUI in the new update. People are now expecting to receive the updates in other regions too.

The company launched the ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) and ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) in August across India with a price tag of Rs 21,999 and Rs 27,999 respectively. Both of the Dual-SIM (Micro + Nano) handsets are powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and packs 16-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options on the boards include 4G, Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, and FM radio.

The difference between both GSM handsets can be seen here, as the Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL) packs a 5.2-inch full-HD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 2650mAh battery, whereas the ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) is blessed with a 5.5-inch full-HD display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of inbuilt space, and a 3000mAh battery. The inbuilt memory of both the handsets can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
