Asus ZenFone 3S Max With Reverse Charging Facility Unveiled in India

Asus has introduced a new ZenFone 3 series handset in the country dubbed as ZenFone 3S Max (ZC521TL). The smartphone will be available in Black and Sand Gold colour variants from Tuesday itself via both offline and online retailers with a price tag of Rs 14,999.

The highlighting features of the Android smartphone include its metallic unibody design language, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, which has been claimed to unlock the smartphone in 0.5 seconds, and a massive 5000mAh battery along with reverse charging facility, which allows using the handset as a power bank also.

Coming up to further specifications, the Dual-SIM (Micro + Nano) smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD display of resolution 720 X 1280 pixels along with a 2.5D curved glass and a brightness of 450-nits. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and Mali T860 GPU. The device runs ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs 32GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

In term of specifications, the GSM smartphone is blessed with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture, 5P Largan lens, PDAF, and dual-LED real-tone flash. Additional features of the rear camera include super-resolution mode, low-light mode, panoramic mode, backlight HDR mode, and beautification mode. An 8-megapixel front shooter with 85-degree wide-angle lens is also provided by the company, which also features HDR, low-light mode, and beautification mode.

Connectivity options on the board include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.0, and GPS/ A-GPS. Moreover, it also packs ZenMotion Touch Gesture, Bluelight filter, Audio Wizard, GameGenie over, a dual-microphone setup for noise cancellation, and an ICEpower-enhanced mono loudspeaker.
