Celkon Campus A518 with Average Specs launched at Rs. 4,500

The domestic mobile maker Celkon has always brought affordable smartphones to attract budget customers. Maintaining its league, the company has unveiled a new handset named Campus A518 at wallet-friendly price of Rs. 4,500. It is said that company will sell this device via physical retail stores. There is no information about its online availability yet.

This dual SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. Celkon Campus A518 flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display that offers 480x854 pixels screen resolution which is not enough in today’s tech era where arrays of budget smartphone are available with advanced features. The handset also disappoints on performance side with 1GHz single-core processor which has almost been extricated from tech dictionary. RAM is also not compelling enough with 512MB capacity, but we can rely on it as per the price tag of this handset.

On storage front, the Campus A518 has 4GB inbuilt storage which can further be expandable upto 32GB using microSD card. It bears a 3.2-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and also has a 1.3-megapixel  front shooter. Apart from 3G, this handset offers several other connectivity features which include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, and Bluetooth.

The phone will come dipped in White and Dark Blue colors. However, this smartphone seems quite back dated in specs as other manufacturer like Intex and Micromax are offering smartphones with better specs than this Celkon handset at almost identical price tag. Few days back, Micromax had announced Android Lollipop based Canvas Spark at just Rs. 4,999 which is much better in specs and features than this newly launched Celkon Campus A518.
