The noted Canada based manufacturer of budget-friendly handhelds, Datawind has again managed to come in limelight by announcing the arrival of its cheap Android smartphone with free internet service for India. As we know, company had announced about its plan to bring low-cost handsets in native space last year and now a report of Indian Express has affirmed that firm is going to host an event on the 17th of March in New Delhi, where phones will be exhibited.

According to source, Datawind will also reveal about its collaboration with top Indian wireless network operator, whereby the envisage of providing free internet connection with inexpensive mobiles is going to become true. As the matter of fact, it is an attempt of firm in order to connect village-living folks with latest technology. To remind you, Microsoft had already adopted this concept and proposed free last-mile internet connectivity to Indian government in November 2014.

Well, a detailed information regarding the specifications of upcoming handset is yet-to-be publicized by tech giant, but informant has suggested some of the aspects of device. Here, gadget will be commenced in domestic market in two variants, where first model will carry a price tag close to Rs 3,000, while its sibling is expected to be labeled with a lower price.

Notably, the costlier one will be decked with a 4-inch touchscreen and it will incorporate a 1.2GHz processor in its shell. The inclusion of 3G connectivity option has also been mentioned. And, Google's one of the most favored version of Android: Android KitKat OS will beautify the device.

Whereas, low-priced edition will not be compatible with 3G network and it will only confer 2G functionality. At this place, CEO of corporation: Suneet Singh Tuli has stated that "smartphone price revolution has to happen in the Rs 2,000 range where people still have only feature phone options."
