The homegrown mobile manufacturer Intex has folded the sleeves and brought another budget smartphone in the spree. It seems like company is trying to fill the market with numbers of budget Android devices as company had already introduced an array of devices in this month. Now, the next in this spree is Intex Aqua Y2 Remote, which is set to sell at Rs. 4,390.
As its name implies, this device works like a universal remote. It’s the prime feature of this device which you have not seen in any budget smartphone yet. Intex Aqua Y2 Remote is compatible with several home appliances like TV, set-top boxes, AC, fans, DVD players, and speakers. It comes pre-loaded with an app ZaZa Remote which has a list of products to be connected with the phone. You can select any number of devices from the list to control them via Intex’s handset.
Intex stats, "The feature saves the model number for the products with which the function is operational. It allows the user to configure the phone as a remote with the synced model." On the specification side, the Intex Aqua Y2 Remote features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display that is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor. It is equipped with 512MB of RAM for smooth multitasking.
On imaging side, it bears a 5-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. It comes integrated with 4GB inbuilt storage that is expandable upto 32GB using microSD card. It is backed by 1500mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. Including 3G network connectivity, this device also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and FM radio support for the same reason.
