Essential is all set to compete with other smartphones due which it is working on the successor of the Essential PH-1 dubbed as Essential PH-2. The company claims that the smartphone will flaunt the in-display camera scanner at the front. If this happens, then the smartphone will become the first device to possess such a camera scanner.
The company has rolled up its sleeves to remove the notch and also not to use other solutions like the slider design, the mechanism front camera module, and the dual display route.
Aforementioned, if the company successfully includes such technology, then it will become the first company to add such feature to the camera and the smartphone. Essential is not doing it for the very first time, it has also added the futuristic technology such as the notch on the PH-1 smartphone.
The notch idea was then taken by the other smartphone manufacturers which was dubbed as ‘water-drop styled notch’. Along with the in-display camera, the company is also planning to include a physical rear fingerprint sensor on the smartphone.
It is for the very first time that any company is adding in-display camera sensor feature in its smartphone as we have never heard about such thing before. As per the patent image, the smartphone might carry dual camera setup at the back along with a flash.
Same like PH-1, the PH-2 will also have two-connectors for extra accessories. It is also speculated that the power button and volume button will be positioned on the right side of the smartphone. The smartphone on the bottom will carry a speaker grill, USB Type-C port while the nano-SIM slot will be positioned at the bottom side of the smartphone.
