Samsung has recently added Galaxy J-series and Galaxy A- series in its line up, under which the company has been focusing to offer only mid-range and upper mid-range smartphones.
Furthermore, the company has been putting efforts to capture more share market of smartphone segment in India to compete with Xiaomi, Oppo and more After getting the great response from the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+, it seems that the South- Korean giant has started working on the Galaxy A6s.
It is anticipated that the upcoming Galaxy A6s will come with some minor upgrades. The information about the upcoming Galaxy A6 series smartphone has been spotted on Weibo, China’s microblogging website.
The Galaxy A6s leaked images have surfaced online which reveals the design, some key specifications and color variants of the upcoming device. We can see in the leaked images that the upcoming Samsung smartphone has titled with ‘Galaxy Phoenix’ which is said to be the codename of the Galaxy A6s smartphone and the leaked image is clearly showing that the smartphone has glass back panel.
From the front panel, we can see that the smartphone has a bezel-less display on the top and bottom side. The smartphone boasts a front camera, earpiece and proximity sensor on the top of the display.
Now moving to the rear panel, the alleged Galaxy A6s has vertically placed dual cameras accompanied by an LED flash and fingerprint scanner is positioned at the center of the device.
The leaked images also reveal that the smartphone has gradient color options including black, red, purple and blue. A 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port are available on the bottom side of the device.
The company claims that the Galaxy A6s would be the first ODM device being offered by Samsung which indicates that the device will be manufactured by a third-party.
The reports suggesting that Samsung has partnered with Wintech to manufacture Galaxy A6s. Notably, Wintech is the same company that manufacturer smartphones for Xiaomi as well.
Recently, the Galaxy A6s has been spotted on TENAA China certification site which reveals some key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The Galaxy A6s is said to feature a 5.99-inch IPS display, 19:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB internal storage. The smartphone is likely to be bundled with a 3,300mAh battery and will run on Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
Recently, Samsung has also launched Galaxy A9 (2018) with four cameras on rear panel at an event in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on October 11.
It is the first smartphone from Samsung that comes with Quad Rear Camera Set Up. Currently, the company has not disclosed when Galaxy A9 (2018) comes in other markets including India.
