Galaxy Fold To Launch in India confirmed by Samsung's DJ Koh

Samsung launched its mesmerizing invention -the Galaxy Fold in San Francisco last month which captured the attention of many phone lovers bypassing the revelation of Galaxy S10 trio. Pre-order of the phone will commence on the 1st of April at $1980 (roughly Rs. 1,40,000).

Galaxy Fold India Launch Plans

Koh confirms the arrival of Galaxy Fold in India without declaring the fixed dates.The manufacturer sees Indian market as a huge platform to showcase its inventions and innovations.

After the launch of the Galaxy S10 series in New Delhi on Wednesday, DJ Koh, President, and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics, confirmed that the Galaxy Fold will indeed launch in India.

"Indian market is, I clearly said, most important market — not only investment and everything, my long-term commitment is towards the market. In this market, why will I not deliver my newest technology innovation? Yes, I will do," Koh said while confirming.

"Because of taxes, we must make it in India, to sell in India," he added.

Samsung displayed the specification of the phone in San Francisco which packs 7.3\'\' QXGA + Dynamic AMOLED Display (4.2:3)when unfolded and also includes a smaller, 4.6\'\' HD+ Super AMOLED Display (21:9) on the outside.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold squires other top rating features like 12GB RAM (LPDDR4x) with 512GB internal storage (UFS3.0) and two batteries with a united capacity of 4,380mAh. The phone has 6 cameras with different configurations:

1. Cover Camera of 10MP Selfie Camera

2. Front Camera includes Dual Camera of 10MP Selfie Camera & 8MP RGB Depth Camera

3. Rear Camera includes Triple Camera of 12MP Telephoto Camera, 12MP Wide-angle Camera, and 16MP Ultra Wide Camera

The phone has a Fast Charging wired & wireless capacity with Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system. DJ Koh prioritizes India as the manufacturing place of not too expensive phones in order to maintain the cost of phones. The phone labelled as "Made in India" will diversify itself through marketing in other countries as well.

At the same time, Kog put forth his views on the amalgamation of the manufacturing process at one place so that limited phones will be sent out for sale where the actual sale with the expected one and that will not result in the backlog of phones.This also signifies that India will host the phone with an added premium on $1980 price tag in Global markets.

The launch of Galaxy S10 5G is also flea in the ear when Koh said "We are working with the carriers here [in India]. Depends on their progress. Samsung is ready to support all 5G frequencies - not only sub-6 [GHz] but millimeter wave as well,". He is waiting for Indian markets to get all-set for 5G networks.
