Gionee Elife E8 Smartphone could Launch in India on October 8

Gionee, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company has sent out its invites to the media for the launching of its smart-phone, Elife E8 on October 8 in New Delhi. The flagship smartphone was introduced earlier in June, in China.

Similar to the other smartphone manufacturers, Gionee could make Elife E8 live exclusively on the online retailing stores.

The smartphone features a 6-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560*140 pixels and offering a pixel density nearly about 490ppi. Reportedly, Samsung uses the same Super AMOLED panel on its flagship Galaxy smartphone.



The Gionee's Elife E8 is loaded with Amigo 3.1UI and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It is powered by a 2GHz octa core MediaTek MT6795 processor coupled with PowerVR G6200 GPU.

The dual-SIM smartphone clubs 3GB of RAM and have the native storage of 64GB, which is further expandable upto 128GB via microSD card slot expansion. The biggest Unique Selling Point (USP) of the device is its camera. The handset is featured with a 24 megapixel camera at the rear end on the board with optical image stabilization and dual tone flash. There is an 8 megapixel camera at the front end for those who are anxious for selfies.

Gionee had recently announced its collaborating partnership with Dixon and Foxconn to start manufacturing of its product in India. The handset is backed by a 3500mAh battery and will be compatible with 4G LTE bands in India.
