Gionee Marathon M5 set to Launch in India with 6020mAh battery

Gionee has announced the launch of its flagship smartphone Marathon M5 in India on Tuesday to feature the adorable specification list. The handset is first debuted in China with a price tag of Rs. 23,000 (CNY 2,299). It has dual battery support which includes two batteries within the set.

The dual battery support is the highlight of the handset. It has two 3010mAh batteries, which collectively sport 6020mAh battery within the smartphone. The company says the batteries should last up to 4 days. It also features an extreme mode that can boost standby time at 5 percent battery life to 62 hours. It is the additional feature sported in the device along with various others. It further supports reverse charging that leads the set to act as a power bank to charge other devices.

The smartphone features 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) Amoled display that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It sports dual-SIM dual standby with 4G LTE functionality on both SIM card slots. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. Under the hoods, the device has an in-built storage of 16GB that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

Measuring 152x76x8.55mm, it weighs 214 grams and packs 6020mAh battery. On the snapper’s front, it integrates 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone was launched alongside Elife E8 back in June, but is now ready to get its place in India.
