Gionee 8 Bezel-less Smartphones Launch on November 26 in China

As per an invite shared on Weibo via Gionee is revealing that the brand is all set to launch not just one or two but eight bezel-less smartphones at an upcoming event in Shenzen, China on November 26.

The invite further unveils that all the eight smartphones will be different in design. However, the ‘full screen’ bezel-less display will be a common element on the smartphones. Other than this, the event will be live streamed in China on Shenzhen Satellite TV.

However, these new Gionee models are not revealed by the invite but as per Android Headlines report, these bezel-less smartphones could include Gionee F6, Gionee M2018, Gionee S11 and S11 Plus, and the Gionee M7 Plus. From the mentioned trims, the Gionee M7 Plus and M2018 are expected as top end trims that will sport 6 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage along with a leather back panel for a premium appeal.

Whereas, the Gionee S1 will feature a 6-inch full-HD+ display and a MediaTek MT6763 chipset with an octa-core processor, as reported. Moreover, it will have a 5-megapixel front camera sensor and a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor on the camera front.

Speculations suggest the 18:9 aspect ratio will be common for all the new Gionee smartphones that will be able to enhance minimal bezel. Also, the equipped hardware of Gionee upcoming smartphones would be relevant to the apps being used for such smartphones available in the market with the bezel-less display including Oppo, Samsung, Xiaomi, etc. The smartphones are likely to be powered by Android Nougat in association with Gionee’s Amigo OS.

The pricing and launch details of these new bezel-less Gionee smartphones will be disclosed in the near future. It is expected that Chinese smartphones maker will launch some of the models in the Indian market.

In September 2017, Gionee launched its M7 and M7 power in this growing bezel-less segment. Both these models come featured with FullView AMOLED display panels and run on Android Nougat-based Amigo OS 5.0 skin.
