Huawei owned Honor, last week sent invitations for the January 24 launch of its Honor 6X smartphone in India. The company did not unveil the name of its new handset, but now Amazon India proved that the new smartphone by the Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm will be Honor 6X. The device has been confirmed to be available exclusively via Amazon India, and will be launched on January 24.
The Android smartphone was initially launched back in October in China and packs dual-camera setup as the biggest highlight of it. It was launched in China with a price tag of CNY 999 (Rs 9,900) in Gold, Silver, Grey, Blue and Soft Gold colour variants. For more details, you can check out the Amazon India website.
Concerning the specifications, the hybrid Dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) handset is blessed with a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display of resolution 1080X1920 pixels along with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a Kirin 655 octa-core (4 cores at 2.1GHz + 4 cores at 1.7GHz) processor and will offer three variants on the base of memory, which includes a 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage variant, a 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant, and a 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The inbuilt memory of the device can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Coming to the main highlight of the GSM handset, it packs a dual camera setup at the rear side which includes a 12-megapixel camera that supports PDAF along with a 2-megapixel shooter just below it. An 8-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company for selfie enthusiasts. Moreover, the handset also features a fingerprint sensor at the rear panel, which according to the company can unlock your mobile within 0.3 seconds.
The Honor 6X smartphone is backed up by a fair 3080mAh battery along with fast charging support. Connectivity options on the board include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS/ A-GPS.
