Honor 9N Set To Launch on 24th July in India

Honor which is a sub-brand of Huawei has announced via official its twitter account that the Chinese tech giant is all set to unveil Honor 9N in the Indian market. Previously, it was rumored with Honor 9i or Honor Play and now the company has confirmed that it would be unveiled in India with the rebranded name as Honor 9N.

Last week, Honor send the invites to press media to unveil the new smartphone in India, now the company has confirmed in its official Twitter account, Honor 9N is set to launch on 24th July in India.

The company on its official Twitter account posted a couple of teasers along with hashtag #Honor9N confirming the name of its upcoming device. The tweet reads that “Beauty is not what meets the eye but an essence that is all around us! Get ready to witness beauty like never before at the grand launch of #Honor9N on 24th July!”.

It is anticipated that the Honor 9N could be the remodified name of the Honor 9i (2018) that was launched in China in the previous month and it is an upgraded version of original Honor 9i that was launched in India in October last year.

The Honor has also posted a short clip on twitter which demonstrates the back panel of upcoming Honor 9N which reveals that the Honor 9N will come with dual- rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and also has a fingerprint scanner.

Honor 9N To Be Available on Flipkart Exclusively

Recently, Huawei sub-brand Honor has officially announced that the Honor 9N will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart. The Chinese tech giant stated that it will be "one of the most affordable notch phones" that comes with FullView Display protected with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass.

The upcoming Honor smartphone is said to feature 12 layers of glass coated with nanocoating on the top which provides a mirror look to the smartphone. The much-rumored Honor 9N will feature a notch on the top of its display which offers more screen on the smartphone.

Additionally, it will display more informative information such as date, time, battery stats, and other app notifications on the home screen of the smartphone.

P Sanjeev, Vice-President Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group stated in a press release while announcing the partnership. "We are delighted to announce that Flipkart will be our exclusive online sale partner for Honor 9N, our new smartphone." He further added, "Accessibility to the consumer is one of the most important aspects that we consider while launching a new product and this strategic partnership with Flipkart assures us of that.

Flipkart shares our vision to deliver the best value to consumers and strongly believe that this partnership will further help us strengthen our position in the Indian smartphone market."

Honor 9N Rumored Specifications

If the reports are to be believed, Honor 9N is said to be the Indian version or remodified name of Honor 9i (2018) that was launched in China in last month. The Honor 9N is likely to feature a 5.84-inch full HD+ display, 19:9 aspect ratio and the screen resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixel resolution.

It will have dual rear cameras which comprise the combination of 13MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, it features 16MP front-facing camera along with AI (Artificial Intelligence) beautification mode. It has an octa-core Kirin 659 processor coupled with ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM.

For soring content, it comes in 64GB and 128GB onboard storage variants which can be further extended up to 256GB by using a microSD card. Honor 9i (2018) runs on Android Oreo - out-of-the-box layered with EMUI 8.0.

In China, it has been priced at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs 14,000)and CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 17,000) for 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage variant respectively. So far, the company has not announced the pricing and availability details of Honor 9N Indian variant. It is worth noting that the aforementioned information is based on the rumors and actual information would be unveiled by the Honor at the official launch event on 24th July in India.
