HTC had made the floor boomed on its Double Exposure event by offering the selfie smartphone Desire Eye and Re Camera. People were also hoping that this event will bring the new One series smartphone also. Though, the Company disappointed the New York City, presenting only two products. But, what we looked after the launching of those two gadgets that the Taiwanese major went to eShop shopping portal of China silently and added the much anticipated One (M8 Eye).
So, here is the phone listed with all few images for China. The country can preorder the handset at CNY 3,999 (Approx Rs. 40,000). If the listing is to be believed, then the HTC One (M8 Eye) will unveil on October 15. Company is also providing Dot View cases on preorder.
Visiting the page, we can easily manage for its features looking at its promotional images while the store has not added any specifications detail. Looking at the listing, we can also easily find about its feature of Eye Experience mobile imaging software which was introduced on Desire Eye.
Considering its name, we can simply call it the successor of HTC’s flagship device One M8. Basically, the HTC One (M8 Eye) seems equivalent as HTC One (M8), but differs in hardware parts. Specially, the rear camera section is revamped with Sony’s 13MP IMX214 sensor, replacing the company’s own 4MP UltraPixel sensor. The same sensor can also be seen in HTC Butterfly 2 and the HTC Desire EYE. But, at the front side, it differs from the Desire Eye and matches with One (M8) by offering the same 5MP front camera.
The HTC Eye Experience for this handset brings Face Fusion, HTC Split Capture, and advanced face tracking features. However, all these specifications can be taken as a pinch of salt until the exact specification comes out via Company officials.
It is said that it will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Company’s own Sense 6 UI. This handset will come paired with 2GB of RAM. It will feature 5-inch full-HD display and will come in two storage variants - 16GB and 32GB.
