Huawei again presented itself in the news by launching its new model Huawei G9 Plus on Thursday in China at a price of CNY 2,399 approx INR 24,200. The handset is a 3GB RAM / 32 GB storage variant and another 4GB RAM / 64 GB storage variant was discussed in the event. However, the price for this variant is still in the covers.
The Huawei G9 Plus is very much similar to the previously launched Maimang 5 and according to the reports given by GizmoChina of Beijing launch, the G9 Plus is just a copy of Maimang 5 which is developed for the China Unicom users.
The speculation is that the pricing factors are very much same with that of Maimang 5 by which everyone can pre-assume the another 4GB RAM / 64 GB storage variant priced nearly CNY 2,599 (approx INR 26,200).
The Dual Sim handset runs on Android 6 Marshmallow with company's own EUI skin 4.1. It sports a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080x1920 pixels IPS LCD Display with a pixel density of 401 ppi. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The Huawei G9 Plus has a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, OIS, and dual-tone LED flash and for the front, there is also an 8-megapixel camera on board. The G9 Plus can be expanded up till 128 GB of storage via and microSD card apart from its inbuilt 32 GB of storage.Talking about the processor, it is powered by 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
The Android smartphone is fuelled by a 3340mAh nonremovable battery and the connectivity features are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, 4G, and USB Type-C. And for the sensors, the Huawei G9 Plus includes a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and an accelerometer. The handset measures 151.8×75.7×7.3mm and weighs 160 grams.
