Huawei Honor 7 and its Pride: Metal - Camera - Kirin Chipset

After diving into the river of rumours and creating hoopla over web, the mid-ranger of Huawei has been made entry in real world to compete against the newly launched Meizu MX5. The Huawei Honor 7 has been made debut to show its elegance in a press event on June 30 as scheduled. With its metal unibody, the handset won in grabbing onlookers’ attention with variety of colors including silver, gold and dark gray.

The metal-laden Honor 7 has been unwrapped carrying 3 variants - one with single SIM and 16GB inbuilt storage (CNY 1999), another with same storage but dual SIM slots (CNY 2199), and the last one with 64GB built-in storage (CNY 2499). This handset is wonderful in providing full-HD resolution on a 5.2-inch display. To power this display efficiently, company’s own Kirin 935 chipset, which is based on 64bit CPU architecture, is there with four Cortex-A53 cores, clocking at 1.5GHz and four more Cortex-A53 cores, clocking at 2.2GHz. Complimenting this chipset with flawless output, there is a 3GB of RAM and Mali-T628 GPU which co-ordinate well with the processor.

EMUI 3.1 on top of the Android 5.0 Lollipop is enough to boost the user experience with a customized experience on latest Android platform. Huawei has put all its effort in making this mid-range device a hybrid-class device by planting almost high-end features. Camera module is the second best example on this side after its metal unibody. A 20MP rear snapper with Phase detection Autofocus, dual tone-dual LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6-element lens and, sapphire glass on lens to make it scratch-proof. Fingerprint scanner below the rear camera is also a complimenting feature, need to be praised. Well, not only the rear camera, front panel has also got 8MP shooter with wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture, which is incredibly of high-quality to entice selfie addicts.

A microSD card slot inside the smartphone gives the option of storing upto 128GB of data. 3100mAh battery has given the energy to Honor 7 with a quick charging technology, which juiced up a discharged phone upto 50 percent in just 30 minutes. 4G LTE and NFC are the top-most connectivity features. Apart from these, users have Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS options also for the same purpose. Well, there is no information yet for its global launch, but we could hope for its arrival in coming weeks.
