Huawei at its recently held occasion in London on Wednesday disclosed two new Android smartphones that had been kept on hold for a long time. The new smartphones dubbed as Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus highlight a double back camera setup made as a part of a collaboration with renowned camera producer Leica.
Called a 'dual lens camera' by the organization, the camera setup of the Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus sports two 12-megapixel sensors, with one catching light in color, while the other in monochrome. Looking at the common specs of both the new Dual-SIM smartphones, we observe that both operate on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1 layering on the top. Under the hood, they are powered by HiSilicon Kirin 955 SoC with the option of expanding their onboard storage up to 128GB using external microSD card. They offer standard connectivity options inclusive of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/air conditioning, Bluetooth v4.1, Infrared, and USB Type-C network support. Dimensionally, the Huawei P9 measures 145x70.9x6.95mm and measures 144 grams, while it's sibling the Huawei P9 Plus measures 152.3x75.3x6.98mm and carries a weight of 162 grams.
As far as the price is concerned the Huawei P9 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant has been priced at nearly INR 45,400 while the 4GB RAM/64GB capacity variant has been evaluated for approximately INR 49,200. The Huawei P9 Plus, on the other hand, has been marked with a price tag of approx. INR 56,800. Both the smartphones will be made accessible in 29 nations from April 16 in six color variations namely Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Prestige Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, and Titanium.
