Huawei Mate 20 Series Set To Unveil on 16th October in London

Huawei, the Chinese tech giant has officially announced that Mate 20 series flagship smartphone soon coming to 16th October 2018 at an event in London. However, the company has started sending the invites to press media for its upcoming launch event.

Continuously, the company is teasing and unveiling the key specifications about the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro series smartphones.

The latest teaser reports suggested that the Huawei Mate 20 is said to feature the latest 7nm Kirin processor which would be embedded with more AI features.

The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, expected to be unveiled at the same event and the premium Pro variant is likely to come with triple lens camera set up on the back similar to P20 Pro. Recently, the Huawei has showcased Mate 20 Lite at IFA 2018 featuring dual front and rear cameras.

The new teaser has revealed that Huawei Mate 20 series smartphones will come with new Kirin 980 processor which was initially showcased at IFA 2018. The company is touting that it would be the world's first commercial 7nm (nanometre) system-on-chip (SoC) bundled with Artificial Intelligence (AI) features.

The Huawei reported that the 7nm (nanometre) system-on-chip (SoC) would render 40 percent more efficiency as well as 20 percent better SoC performance as compared to the previous 10nm processor.

We can see in the teaser image the Huawei highlights the AI in red color which pointing towards that both Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are expected to come with AI-powered features in the camera and overall OS. The teaser reads that “A higher Intelligence is coming".

The recent leak report revealed that the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will come with a display notch and run on latest Android Pie OS with EMUI 9.0 on the top. It is anticipated that Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 are likely to come with an under-display fingerprint scanner and traditional fingerprint sensor respectively.

Under the hood, an alleged Huawei Mate 20 series is said to feature 4,200 mAh battery which is 200 mAh larger in terms of capacity as compared to previously launched P20 Pro. The devices are said to feature a glass back panel to support wireless charging.
