Huawei Rolls Out Android 7.0 Nougat Beta Program For Honor 5C in India

Huawei, the leading Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm has started rolling out the beta test program of Android 7.0 Nougat for its Honor 5C smartphone in India. This following beta test program will allow users to test and take out bugs and issues in the company’s own EMUI based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The beta version will only be available for the users in India, in two batches.

As, a recall, the Android smartphone was launched in June last year running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and EMUI 4.1 skin at top. The company now has decided to upgrade the OS of the handset, but will roll out the updates for only a limited number of users initially. The new version is still in its preview stage, which means some of the features will not be seen in this version of update. The selected users are advised not to use their device as their daily use, as the update is still not settled completely.

As we have mentioned above, the update will roll out in two batches, in which the first batch will allow only 50 users to get the update and the second batch will just double the number of users and will make it to 100. To register your device for this program your Honor 5C must have the model number of NEM-L22, and should also be in the version of NEM-L22C675B140/ B151, only then you will be allowed to register for the program.

The company also has mentioned that a user should have an eligible Honor 5C smartphone, should be a member of Honor India forum, and should be willing to share his/her personal details to be eligible for the beta program. If your device shows problem after upgrading it, you can also downgrade your Honor 5C simply by following company’s guidelines.

Apart from it, the new upgrade will bring some cool and different changes in the handset and will refreshes the App drawer, Apps card, multiple account support, and contact QR codes sharing among others. So, if you are willing to join the beta program by the company, you must hurry up and register your device for getting the update.
