Karbonn, native smartphone manufacturer company has launched the new budget segment smartphone in India with the name tag Frames S9, which is available at an affordable price tag of Rs 6,790 and the users can purchase the smartphone via e-commerce websites including Amazon, Flipkart, and offline retail outlets. The Key highlighting feature of the Karbonn Frames S9 is that it comes with a dual selfie camera. The company has unveiled the smartphone in black, champagne and grey color options.

As a part of launch offer, Karbonn has partnered with Airtel to provide a cashback offer of Rs 2,000 to the customers who will purchase Karbonn Frames S9. The customer will get the full cashback amount of Rs 2000 in the form of two installments: Rs 500 and Rs 1500. To get the first cashback installment of Rs 500, firstly the customers will have to make the prepaid recharges of Rs. 3,500 in the first 18 months. To avail the second cashback installment of Rs 1500, customers further will have to make the prepaid recharges of Rs 3500 in the next 18 months. The telecom operator, Airtel has also launched the special prepaid recharge of Rs. 169 on the smartphone and under this the customers will get unlimited local, STD voice calls, as well as 1GB 3G/ 4G internet connection which is valid for the period of 28 days.

The Karbonn Frames S9 flaunts a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with the screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. In terms of software, the smartphone is embedded with unnamed quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which is clocked up to 1.25GHz. In terms of storage, the smartphone is equipped with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 64GB with the help of microSD card. The smartphone comes in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with a customized operating system on the top.
In terms of photography, the camera-centric Frames S9 packs dual 8MP+8MP selfie camera and an 8MP rear camera along with LED flash. The smartphone features various shooting modes which include Soft Twinfie, Watermark, Group Twinfie (120-degree view), Voice capture, Panoramic View, Bokeh Mode, and Time-lapse.
Connectivity options in the Frames S9 are 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, and OTG. The smartphone offers ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, and proximity sensor. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the rear panel of the smartphone. Under the hood, it is fueled by a 2900mAh battery. The weight of the smartphone is 139 grams and its dimensions are 148.4x72x7.85mm.
