Lenovo, China-based smartphone manufacturer has recently launched two smartphones with the name tag Lenovo K5 and Lenovo K5 Play alongside Lenovo S5. Both, the Lenovo K5 and Lenovo K5 Play are launched especially in China. The bookings of both smartphones have already commenced from 21st March. The highlights of Lenovo K5 and Lenovo K5 Play include dual rear camera setups and 18:9 aspect ratio display. The Lenovo K5 is available in three color variants: Space Grey, and Star Black, whereas, the company is offering Lenovo K5 Play in three color options namely Jazz Blue, Modern Gold, and Punk Black.
The Lenovo K5 is launched at a price tag of CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 9,300) and will be available for purchase from 10th April. However, Lenovo K5 Play will be available at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 7,200), and the deliveries of the smartphone will start from 17th April.
The Lenovo K5 bears a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS display with the screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels. The smartphone is said to feature a fullscreen display along with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat - out- of the box with ZUI 3.1. It is embedded with an octa-core MediaTek MT6750V processor equipped with Mali T860 GPU. In terms of storage capacity, the smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB in a dual- sim configuration.
In terms of optics, the Lenovo K5 sport a dual rear camera setups which comprise 13-megapixel primary camera, along with features such as LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera along with f/2.2 aperture. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone sport an 8-megapixel front- facing camera along with f/2.0 aperture. It packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood.
From the connectivity options, it include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are some of the features of the sensor board. The smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The weight of the smartphone is 160 grams and its dimensions are 153.8x72.7x7.8mm.
The Lenovo K5 Play bears a 5.7-inch HD+ display with the resolution of 720x1440 pixels. The smartphone runs on latest operating system Android 8.0 Oreo with ZUI 3.7. It is embedded with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It is available in two storage options: 2GB RAM coupled with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB internal storage. The storage capacity can be further extended up to 128GB in hybrid dual-SIM configuration.
The smartphone is equipped with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS as connectivity options. Other sensors on the board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The fingerprint sensor is positioned on the rear panel of the smartphone. The weight of the smartphone is 155 grams and its dimensions are 153.75x72.6x7.85mm.
