The Lenovo S5 Pro GT has been launched in the China market along with the Lenovo Z5s. The Lenovo S5 Pro GT is a modified version of the Lenovo S5 Pro that was launched two months ago and the former comes with improved specifications such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, ZUI 10 Operating System and 4GB RAM. The rest of the specifications of S5 Pro GT are similar to the standard Lenovo S5.
The Lenovo S5 Pro GT comes with a starting price of CNY 1,198 (approximately Rs. 12,100) for the base 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model and goes up to CNY 1,298 (approximately Rs. 13,100) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. It has been launched in three color options including Jing Yao Black, Pure Gold, and Ice Blue.
The Lenovo S5 Pro GT has been listed on the official China website of Lenovo. The pre-bookings of the device have already commenced while it will go on sale from December 24 in China.
To recall, the previously launched Lenovo S5 Pro costs CNY 1,298 (roughly Rs. 13,100) for single 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage model.

The Lenovo S5 Pro GT features 6.2-inch full-HD+ display that offers 1080x2246 pixels resolution, an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and 113 percent sRGB color gamut. At software front, the S5 Pro GT runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with the support of hybrid dual-SIM slots (Nano + Nano/ microSD). Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It has been equipped with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory that can be further extended up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Opposed to that, the standard Lenovo S5 Pro came with Snapdragon 636 chipset and only 6GB RAM option was available.
In terms of lens, the Lenovo S5 Pro GT comes with dual cameras on the rear panel consisting of a 20MP primary sensor and a 12MP secondary sensor with aperture lens of f/1.8 and f/2.6 respectively. The rear camera setup comes with the support of 2x optical zoom and Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered capabilities. Up front, there are also dual cameras that consist of 20MP primary sensor featuring an aperture of f/2.2 and an 8MP secondary sensor. The front camera supports facial recognition feature, AI portraits, beauty, and 3D ambient lighting.
The connectivity options on the Lenovo S5 Pro GT include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone has been equipped with ambient light, electronic compass, fingerprint sensor, gravity, and a proximity sensor. It packs a 3,500mAh battery bundled with 15W charger for fast- charging. The dimensions of the device are 154.5x75.45x7.7mm and weight is 170 grams.
Notably, the Lenovo S5 Pro GT has been launched particularly in the China market, although there is no confirmation when the Chinese company would unveil it in other markets including India.
