LG G6 Available With a Discount of Rs 10,000 in India Via Amazon

LG, the South Korean multinational electronic appliance manufacturing firm has successfully completed its 20 years in India, and it looks like the company wants to celebrate this achievement along with the entire nation. For this, the company through its Twitter account has announced a flat discount of Rs 10,000 on its flagship G6 smartphone. The smartphone was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 51,990, and it is currently available with a price tag of Rs 41,990 exclusively via Amazon.

As a recall, the Android smartphone made its official debut at MWC 2017 in February. The highlighting feature of the handset is its 5.7-inch QHD+ Full vision display with a resolution of 1440x2880 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It was launched with the company’s new UX 6.0 and runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. It is powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

The optical part of the dual-SIM smartphone includes a dual-camera setup at the rear side, which comes with two 13-megapixel sensors - one for wide-angle shots with 125-degree lens and f/2.4 aperture, and the other for regular shots with 71-degree lens and OIS 2.0. A 5-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company with f/2.2 aperture and 100-degree lens for selfie enthusiasts.

The GSM handset is backed up by a non-removable 3300mAh battery and includes support for LTE-A 3 Band CA network, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 connectivity options. The smartphone measures 148.9x71.9x7.9mm, weighs 163 grams and is available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Mystic White colour options.

Interestingly, LG G6 was claimed to be the "first smartphone with supports Dolby Vision" by the company at the time of launching. Moreover, it also packs a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analogue converter) for enhanced audio playback and a fingerprint sensor at the rear side. In terms of durability, the handset has passed the MIL-STD 810G military standard certification, which makes it a completely reliable gadget.
