Meizu, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm on Wednesday has launched the successor of its M5 smartphone dubbed as Meizu M5s in China. The handset has been launched in two memory variants, which includes a 16GB storage at CNY 799 (Rs 7,800 approx) and a 32GB storage at CNY 999 (Rs 9,700 approx). It will be available in Rose Gold, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, and Star Grey colour options.
The Dual-SIM smartphone is blessed with a metallic unibody design along with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. The company claims that the mTouch technology of the smartphone is capable of unlocking your device in under 0.2 seconds. Moreover, it runs Flyme 6.0 OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Further specifications of the Android smartphone includes a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with resolution 720x1280 pixels along with 282 ppi of pixel density. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. In term of optics, the device packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and two-tone flash. A 5-megapixel front shooter with a f/2.0 aperture and ArcSoft beautification software has also been provided by the company for selfie lovers.
The GSM handset is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and comes with an 18W fast charger to provide max speed of charging. Connectivity options on the board include 4G LTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (with support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands), Bluetooth v4.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. Sensor part of the device includes accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and infrared.
