Micromax Bharat 5 Launched In India With 5000mAh Battery

Micromax, the renowned Indian mobile maker has finally launched the much awaited Bharat 5 in India. The handset has been priced at Rs. 5,555 and has a huge 5000mAh battery. An image posted on Thursday claims that the battery capacity may be as high as 5000mAh with fast charge technology. In the launch invite of Bharat 5, the company has used the tagline "Witness the \'Power of 5\'".

At the launch occasion, Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer, Micromax Informatics, said "Bharat 5 like its predecessors will truly drive the next phase of smartphone adoption in the country, as a smartphone with 5000mAh battery is pivotal for a market like India where the tier 3-4 cities still face severe power outage issues."

The price of the handset is keeping it in the direct competition with the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. As launch offers, Micromax has joined hands with the Vodafone and has promised to give 1GB data pack to Vodafone customer along with an additional 10GB of data per month for 5 months.

The Micromax Bharat 5 is a dual-SIM supporting device that operates on Android Nougat. It has a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. This latest Micromax mobile has bee powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled along with 1GB of DDR3 RAM. On the camera front, Bharat 5 mobile has 5-megapixel cameras on both sides with LED flash. The handset has 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. The connectivity options included in it are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. On the powering front, the handset has been backed with a huge 5000mAh battery that can deliver up to 2 days of battery life along with a standby time of up to 3 weeks.

It must be noted that the Micromax has launched its Bharat series mobiles at very affordable prices and nice specifications and features. The Micromax\'s first Bharat mobile was launched on the 2nd April 2017. The company on that day launched Bharat 2 - a 4G enabled smartphone for just Rs. 3,499. Later in September Micromax launches Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 as the superior models after the success Bharat 2. It must be noted that the company claims that it has sold more than two million Bharat 2. Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 were launched with Android 7.0 Nougat along with the support for 22 Indian local languages. The Bharat 3 was launched at Rs. 4,499, while the Bharat 4 comes at Rs. 4,999.

Seeing the positive response from the buyers for the Bharat series mobiles, the Micromax joined hands with the BSNL to launch the Bharat 1 - a 4G enabled handset. The Bharat 1 is in direct competition with the Reliance Jio Feature Phone and Bharti Airtel\'s Karbonn A40. It\'s worth mentioning the company has set the price of its Bharat 1 at Rs. 2,200. Recently Micromax has joined hands with the Vodafone and is offering cashback of Rs. 2,200 on all four of its mobiles i.e. Bharat 2 Plus, Bharat 3, Bharat 4 and Canvas-1.

Going by the launch of the various smartphones by the company and it\'s competitors it is highly expected that the Bharat 5 too will be a budget smartphone priced below Rs. 6,000. The Micromax\'s biggest competitor in the Indian market is the Xiaomi, which has yesterday launched Redmi 5A at just Rs. 5,999. This latest handset from Xiaomi comes with a 5-inch HD display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 13-megapixel primary camera sensor, and a 3000mAh battery. The Xiaomi has launched Remi 5A in two options i.e. 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant and another with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. Also, the company has provided a separate space for the microSD card for the expansion of the storage capacity of the device.
