Micromax Brings Cyanogen based Yu Yureka: 4G Phone at Rs. 8,999

The homegrown mobile manufacturer Micromax has finally cut the ribbon from its first Yu series handset, named Yu Yureka. The first Cyanogen OS based smartphone by Company is showing its exclusivity with the motto line, "Yu play god." With custom software and elegant features, it is priced at Rs. 8,999 only. Amazon will be selling this device exclusively. Registration will begin on Friday at 2.00pm.

The tech giant is also offering free leather back cover worth Rs. 999 to its early buyers. It runs on a CyanogenMod 11 custom build, integrated with Nextbit Baton and several themes to make its UI more impressive and interactive. For all unawares, Micromax has the only rights in country to use the Cyanogen's custom ROM in its devices. This custom OS has the capability to boost the features of stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

A 64bit octa-core CPU with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615, clocked at 1.5GHz to enhance the performance result. Adreno 405 GPU is also there to enhance the graphics result with fine visuals. Coupling this 64bit processor with a 2GB RAM, Micromax has blessed this Yu Yureka smartphone with seamless multitasking. It features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display that offers 1280x720 pixels screen resolution for vibrant visual experience. On the other side, the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating with Oleophobic coating make its display more protective.

Yu Yureka is a dual SIM (4G+3G) smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity. It sports a 13-megapixel camera which uses Sony Exmor CMOS sensor for benign imaging experience with LED flash, Autofocus and f/2.2 aperture. A 5-megapixel front shooter is also there to enhance the selfie experience. Customization of Cyanogen brings the feature of capturing images and shooting videos direct from the Lock screen. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery which is rated to deliver upto 8 hours of talk time and upto 7 hours of browsing time.

Earlier, the Company filed a suit against OnePlus for infringing its exclusive rights. As a result, the Delhi Court ordered the Chinese juggernaut to stop selling its devices in India, bearing Cyanogen logo. Company has promised that it will bring more Yu series smartphone, which will be manufacturing keeping today’s youth in mind.
