Micromax recently launched Canvas Mega 2 smartphone featuring 6-inch display and now as per the latest reports the company has launched another Android smartphone in India, the Canvas XP 4G. Estimated at Rs. 7,499, the cell phone will be available for purchase from Snapdeal from Tuesday. The highlights of the cell phone at its value point are its 4G LTE availability and 3GB of RAM.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Micromax Canvas XP 4G is a Dual-SIM cell phone and features a 5-inch HD display giving a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor, which highlights a 3GB of RAM.
Commenting on the launch, Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax, said, "Micromax has successfully expanded the overall smartphone market and created a favourable impact in the e-commerce channel capturing over 11 percent of the exclusive online market last year. A significant part of this success is attributed to our partnership with Snapdeal, where we have grown the overall entry level smartphone market. With the launch of Canvas XP with Snapdeal, we are further bringing a very strong product to our consumers to upgrade to the latest 4G phenomena."
The Micromax Canvas XP 4G sports an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash, and a 2-megapixel front facing fixed focus camera. It accompanies 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable by means of microSD card with no information on the maximum limit. Aside from 4G LTE, the GSM-based handset offers the standard connectivity options . The Canvas XP 4G houses a 2000mAh battery, however, the company is yet to measure it's talk time and the standby time.
