Micromax, the indigenous smartphone maker, is up with an online sale of its flagship mobile Micromax Dual 5 via Flipkart and the company's online store from today. It must be noted that this is the company's first handset that bears dual rear camera setup that comes with a price tag of Rs. 24,999. In the Micromax Dual 5 smartphone, the company has incorporated two 13-MP rear cameras with Sony IMX258 sensors, one of which is for monochrome light and the other is for RGB (color). Both the cameras have f/1.8 aperture along with 4K UHD resolution and are capable of capturing 3D videos.
Apart from the dual-rear camera, this Micromax mobile also has a 13-MP front camera having 1.12-micron pixel Sony IMX258 sensor. The selfie camera of the handset bears a f/2.0 aperture and features a soft selfie flash module along with features like an integrated SmartBeauty mode, gesture control, and a GIF maker. The company has also claimed that the Micromax Dual 5 has been built from a single slab of aircraft-grade aluminum. Along with these the mobile also comes with customizable key and the integration of a panic button that can be used by pressing the power button thrice in any threatening situation.

The Micromax Dual 5 smartphone operates on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Super AMOLED 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 100 percent NTSC color gamut. The device has been powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 MSM8976 SoC having 4 Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz, coupled along with 4GB of RAM. The device has been powered by a 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
For the safety purpose, a high-end fingerprint sensor has been embedded in the rear panel that is capable of recognizing fingerprints in less than 0.2 seconds. The fingerprint scanner also acts as a selfie key and offers other gesture controls, a 360-degree acceptance angle, and also powers the Secure Vault feature of the handset. The handset has also been embedded with a SafeSwitch feature that safeguards your phone data even after the theft or loss of the smartphone.

The Micromax Dual 5 comes with 128 GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB by using a microSD card. The handset has dual hybrid SIM and apart from 4G LTE connectivity also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C. The top smartphone sensors included in this flagship Micromax mobile are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, infrared sensor, and proximity sensor.
